Description

Join us for Tips & Tools for preparing to bid the statewide contract for Painting Services.  This workshop is brought to you by the government contracting advisors at the non-profit APEX Accelerator in collaboration with DES.  In the session, participants will dissect the solicitation using take-home tools including a pre-bid checklist and bid/no-bid decision matrix which can be customized for their unique needs.  This session is designed to prepare firms for the official DES Pre-Bid Session currently scheduled at the date below.

As further described in this Competitive Solicitation and as specified in the Contract, the scope of Painting Services includes:

• Paint products consultation with Purchaser prior to product ordering;
• Measurement of the Purchaser’s project work site;
• Work site preparation, including surface examination and protection of surfaces that are not receiving a coating (including items that cannot be detached or removed);
• Surface repair prior to beginning work, including sanding, priming, pressure washing, caulking, filling cracks, etc.;
• Paint/coating application(s);
• Work site inspection and cleanup; Warranty service; and
• Customer Service including invoicing, logistics, communication, and project management.

Note: Painting Services, as solicited in this Competitive Solicitation and as awarded in any resulting Contract, does NOT include: Public Work Projects which, under Washington law, are procured under RCW 39.04; or Framing or structural work or alterations; or Surface repairs beyond painting preparation.
