Absher Construction Company was founded in 1940 in Puyallup, WA by Barney Absher. Following three generations of family ownership, Absher became employee-owned in 2022, allowing the firm to stay committed to its core purpose to create and build community. Absher is committed to leadership in an ever-changing industry. This commitment has led Absher to continue to diversify, moving aggressively and successfully into the design-build, CMC and program management arenas. Absher provides a complete range of preconstruction, construction and CM services to public and private clients on a wide range of projects. Absher is a full-service firm, providing a complete range of professional services in: estimating and value engineering, scheduling, building information modeling (BIM), constructability, information technologies and commissioning, self-perform carpentry and concrete trades, CMC, and LEED.

The entire Absher team is committed to small-business contracting and community outreach that includes a variety of markets—federal, low-income housing, schools, churches and other similar entities.

Absher focuses on recruiting and retaining small businesses, disadvantaged and minority- and women-owned enterprises, including developing new relationships that assist us with workforce development and apprenticeship utilization.
