Join Washington APEX Accelerator and Thurston Economic Development Council in celebrating Pacific Sky Power
Pacific Sky Power was founded in 2012, building on my innovative systems engineering work that began in 2005 while the owner, Dan Tracy, was living in Hawaii. Their work has included collaborations with universities, as highlighted in this research news report.
Headquartered in Seattle, WA, Pacific Sky Power specializes in innovative clean energy and circular economy solutions, developing projects that help people reconnect with the environment through sustainable design and technology.
Dan’s experience with government contracting before contacting Apex had been limited. Through collaboration with the University of Hawaii, his company had applied for several funding opportunities and was aware of government options. However, it wasn’t until working extensively with Kate Hoy at Apex Accelerator that they were able to submit competitive, full proposals to the National Science Foundation (NSF) for Phase I Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR).
Dan’s favorite part about his APEX Accelerator advisor, Kate Hoy, is her expansive knowledge, helpful introductions, and encouragement to network with other companies in the clean energy space were invaluable.
The government contracting process is very time- and energy-intensive, so having an expert guide us was incredibly impactful. The experience we gained through APEX Accelerator’s support significantly strengthened our ability to submit competitive proposals, and it has been a major boost as we continue to accelerate innovative projects at Pacific Sky Power.
“I would highly recommend any company seriously considering government contracting to reach out to the Apex Accelerator. Their team can guide you through the entire process and help position your company for success.” Dan Tracy, www.pacificskypower.com
