This collection is a one stop shop to important knowledge and resources for contractors interested in opportunities around providing assistance during disasters through government contracts. The major agencies involved in responding to disaster are the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA. Lets get to know the agencies, registrations, and opportunities.

The Forest Service procures a wide variety of supplies, equipment, and services. Some examples include:
- Natural resource services and conservation services
- Construction of structures and facilities
- Maintenance, repair, or alteration of real property (incl. restoration of roads and bridges)
- Housekeeping services
- Transportation and charter services
- Professional, management and administrative support services
- Special studies and analyses
- A&E services
- Information technology
- Fire and aviation support services
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) purchases a wide variety of supplies and services. Below is just an example of the types of things that USACE purchases on a quasi-routine basis.
Services- “Service contract” means a contract that directly engages the time and effort of a contractor whose primary purpose is to perform an identifiable task rather than to furnish an end item of supply. Some of the areas in which service contracts are found include the following:
- Maintenance, overhaul, repair, servicing, rehabilitation, salvage, modernization, or modification of supplies, systems, or equipment.
- Routine recurring maintenance of real property.
- Housekeeping and base services.
- Advisory and assistance services.
- Operation of Government-owned equipment, real property, and systems.
Supplies- “Supplies” means all property except land or interest in land. USACE buys a wide variety of supplies. Some examples of prior USACE purchases include: (Trailer, UTVs, ATV, Boats, Fire Suppression Systems, Furniture, Construction Equipment, survey equipment…)
Construction- USACE has and will continue to require a wide variety of construction services.
Architecture and Engineering Services (AE)- AE research, planning, development, design, construction, alteration, or repair of real property
