Skanska is soliciting all interested subcontractors and suppliers, as well as certified Small, Veteran, Minority & Woman owned companies for the bid package listed below.

This project has 5% SBE, 3% VOB, 10% MBE and 6% WBE participation goals. Skanska intends to conduct itself in good faith with all interested subcontractors as well as certified SBE/VOB/MBE/WBE firms looking for subcontract opportunities on this project. If you are a SBE/VOB/MBE/WBE firm, please provide your certification with your proposal. All interested subcontractors, please indicate all lower tier SBE/VOB/MBE/WBE participation offered on your proposal as it will be evaluated with your price.

Skanska will assist qualified subcontractors, vendors, & suppliers in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, materials and/or supplies. To permit maximum participation, when feasible Skanska will review breaking out scope packages and adjusting schedules to help permit maximum participation of SBE/VOB/MBE/WBE on the project. Subcontractor may be requested to furnish a bond, if required Skanska will pay bond premium up to 1%.

About the Project
Skanska has been awarded the SR 520, I-5 to Montlake – I/C and Bridge Replacement project in Seattle, Washington. This project will replace the existing Portage Bay Bridge, with two new parallel variable depth segmental box girder bridges across Portage Bay, the existing SR 520 eastbound off-ramp structure to Montlake Boulevard East, the existing 10th Ave E and Delmar E under-crossings with a new Roanoke Lid Bridge, and provide approximately 75 retaining walls. This project will also extend the SR 520’s transit/HOV system from Montlake to I-5 and the cross-lake bicycle and pedestrian trail over Portage Bay to a new lid between Delmar Drive East and 10th Avenue East.
