The State of Washington, Department of Health (DOH) has issued an RFP seeking the following services:
Project Long Title: Planning, Coordination, and Implementation of State Legislation on the Prevention of and Response to Female Genital Cutting
Project Short Title: Prevention of and Response to Female Genital Cutting (FGC)
DOH is seeking a qualified contractor to provide consultation in FGC and to facilitate the planning and implementation of DOH’s responsibilities per Section 6 of the Washington state legislation, Substitute Senate Bill (SSB) 5453.
The contractor will have demonstrated topical expertise specific to FGC and the culturally respectful engagement of communities impacted by FGC. Experience must also be demonstrated in facilitating statewide planning and implementation of state FGC legislation through the engagement of interested persons in government-, nonprofit- and community-based organizations, community members, including individuals with lived experience, and health care providers.
