Bid Submittal: Sealed bids are requested by the University of Washington Facilities, Project Delivery Group. Please visit https://university-of-washington.public-portal.us.workdayspend.com/ to view this opportunity. Firms must register on Workday Strategic Sourcing, the UW – Facilities new electronic bidding system, to view and respond to this request for bids. Part I of the Bid Form will be received up to 2:00 p.m. on March 19, 2025, and Part II of the Bid Form will be received up to 3:00 p.m. on March 19, 2025. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud via
Zoom Version 5.0 (required) link of: https://washington.zoom.us/j/98987130338.

Bids received after the date and hour above stated will not receive consideration. Attendance in person is not allowed. Only bidders who are on the Critical Patient Care Roster Group A and B at the time of bid
receipt may bid on this project. Bids will be received by the University of Washington through Workday Strategic Sourcing at the above mentioned time and place. Project Description: Scope of work includes the modernization of a (3) bank elevator hoistway including elevator cars 212, 213, 214, and the elevator machine room. This elevator bank is back of house patient transport and service elevators serving the cascade tower. These elevators are traction elevators, and are original to the 1983 building, and are nearing end-of-life. Replacement of major elevator components, and alterations to the pressurization system, mechanical, and electrical systems are included in the scope of work.

The scope of work also includes the interim maintenance and ongoing maintenance that coincides with the warranty. The interim maintenance period will begin after the award of the modernization (or after the first elevator is removed from normal operation for modernization), until the modernization work is completed, and the last elevator is returned to normal
operation.
