As a very small business (under 30 employees) that won a subcontract for an EPA project, we were required to provide documentation to the Prime Contractor that was very extensive and difficult to navigate. Also, and more problematic, was the mandatory update to our SAM account that took 3 weeks, and 3 repeat visits to an attorney to notarization the same document. SAM required small changes, such as "don't use the word suite, use the word Ste. instead" and would not accept the doc without that change. [Washington APEX Accelerator Advisor] patiently called SAM directly for help and we were given three different directions by three different customer service reps. Without [Washington APEX Accelerator Advisor] experience and patience in directing me, click-by-click, there is absolutely NO way that I would have been able to finally succeed.

I have been a federal contractor in the past, but let my registration lapse, and then formed an LLC. I found it very difficult to transition to a new entity operating as an LLC.
