Contract description:

WA Commerce is now accepting proposals to identify multifamily affordable housing properties that are best suited for onsite solar installation through Solar for All funding. Solar systems and potential battery energy storage systems must be designed to deliver at least 20% savings to multifamily tenants. Submit proposals by May 27 for portfolio analysis and detailed solar studies of multifamily properties.

Analysis and designs are structured in two separate phases. Interested parties can respond to one or both phases. Commerce will work with one or multiple contractors to fulfill the scope of work. Respondents must have experience in data analysis and report production, solar and battery energy storage system design, and personnel with relevant certifications.

Scope of Work: Phase one (up to $75,000): Remotely assess onsite solar potential of multifamily properties in data provided by Commerce’s Housing Division and the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, and produce assessment reports detailing each property and identifying those best suited for onsite solar installation based on Solar for All requirements. Phase two (up to $175,000): Design solar systems compliant with applicable codes for each selected property, and design energy storage systems that support resilience and additional household savings for a subset of multifamily properties.
