Project Description:

The project includes the following work: The UW ADA Parking Improvement Project is an ongoing initiative to provide accessible parking (compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements) at key locations on campus in response to a Consent Decree imposed on the University of Washington. Phase 3.2 includes improvements at the parking lot E03 and garage lots N27, N28, W20, W21, W22, and W23.

The scope at E03 includes, but is not limited to, selective site demolition, pavement removal, regrading, asphalt and concrete paving, striping, and signage installation. The scope at the garage lot N27 includes grinding of existing asphalt, regrading, and asphalt overlay at a limited area above an existing below-grade sensitive space, along with striping and signage installation.

All work will be verified by a third-party testing agency under contract with UW, and an additional testing agency under contract with Plaintiff. All work will be verified by a third-party testing agency under contract with UW.  Substantial completion will be met when work is verified for compliance by Owner’s independent testing agency, and all permit conditions including final inspections are complete.

Scope of Work:

The scope at N28 includes removal of pavement striping, restriping, and signage installation. The scope at the garage lots W20-23 includes removal of pavement striping/signage, restriping, and signage installation in an existing garage structure.

Value: A/E Estimate $310,279.00

Pre-Bid Site Meeting:

The Project site is available for inspection by prospective bidders at a pre-bid site meeting and walk-through at 9:00 a.m. on March 25, 2025, or 1:00 p.m. on March 27, 2025.

The meeting point will be at the E03 Parking Lot at the Ceramics and Metal Arts Building at UW (3133 NW Clark Rd). The sites to follow E03 will be: N27/N28 at south end of ground level of 4545 Garage (4545 15th Avenue NE) and then W20-23 Garages at Cedar Apartments (1128 NE 41st Street).

Please note that W20-23 is a secure garage, and entry will be with authorized personnel only. Anyone arriving more than 15 minutes late at E03 will not be accommodated due to multiple sites. Parking on campus is extremely limited so plan accordingly. Refer to the specific site plan in the drawing set for additional information.
