RFP Higher Education Software Development Subcontracting Tryon Creek

Your  software development company is invited to be a crucial partner in the
Co-Designing for Trust project, a collaborative initiative involving esteemed institutions such as
the University of Washington, The University of Texas at Austin, Seattle Central College, and
the Black Brilliance Research Project. This pioneering effort aims to combat the proliferation of
misinformation within historically underserved communities, with a particular focus on
empowering Black and rural communities through innovative educational materials.

The primary objective of the project is to develop a comprehensive digital solution that
addresses the challenges associated with misinformation dissemination. Specifically, we seek a
design-first software development firm to collaboratively envision and implement creative
solutions to the following key problems:

Tailoring Educational Resources
● How can users efficiently discover and customize educational resources tailored
to their unique contexts and use cases?
● Develop a user-centric system that allows seamless navigation and personalization
of content, ensuring relevance and usefulness for diverse communities.

Community of Practice Growth:
● How can we foster the growth and sustainability of a community of practice
dedicated to enhancing digital literacy in their respective communities?
● Implement features that encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and ongoing
engagement among community members, promoting a collective effort towards
digital literacy advancement.
● Design intuitive interfaces that direct users towards project-related events,
updates, and team interactions, enhancing project visibility and fostering a sense
of community involvement.
We are seeking a software development firm with the expertise to engage effectively with
various stakeholders within our project.

The successful candidate will:
● Facilitate collaborative workshops to develop a shared vision with project stakeholders.
● Iterate through design solutions, incorporating feedback from diverse perspectives.
● Implement the finalized design solution with a focus on user experience, scalability, and
sustainability.

By joining this initiative, your company will play a vital role in addressing a critical societal
challenge. This collaboration offers an opportunity to contribute to the creation of impactful
digital solutions, shaping the future of digital literacy within historically underserved
communities.

We are excited at the opportunity to work with you on this project!
