Contract Location: Statewide

Contract description:

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide an enterprise level solution for storing, managing, viewing, and extracting features from statewide Mobile, Terrestrial, and Aerial LiDAR datasets and associated digital imagery. The solution must support long term, secure storage; high performance visualization; and automated or semi-automated extraction of roadway and roadside assets.

Project Objectives and Intent:
The department intends to enter into an agreement for services related to the following:

  • Provide secure, scalable cloud storage for large LiDAR and imagery datasets.
  • Deliver a corridor-based viewer capable of streaming point clouds and imagery at high performance for users across the DOT.
  • Offer viewing of data from multiple sources such as but not limited to external feature extraction solutions, GIS, engineering drawings for engineering, survey, asset management, safety, and planning use cases.
  • Align with existing DOT workflows, GIS systems, data governance frameworks, and IT security requirements.
