Sealed Bids Due to the City Thursday, 03/10/2022; 2:00 p.m.
Background:
The purpose of this Invitation to Bid is to solicit bids from interested and qualified bidders (“Bidders”) to provide services for the disposal of dangerous or hazardous wastes (the “Services”). The City has held a successful contract for the Services for several years. However, to meet the City’s strong commitment to competitive bidding, the City is returning to the marketplace to establish a new contract(s) for the Services.
Purpose:
The Services are expected to include packing, loading, transporting, storage, and treatment/recycle/disposal of identified liquids and solids categorized as dangerous or hazardous wastes, household hazardous wastes, universal waste, or other regulated wastes. Bidders may bid on partial or all waste streams.
The new contract will serve all departments of the City that require use of the Services, including those departments that manage the City’s household hazardous waste collection sites. In the past three years, annual usage of the contract has averaged $1.3 million. The City anticipates similar usage for the new contracts.
Pool Contracts:
The City intends to award a pool of eligible, qualified and competitive contracts for the Services to qualified bidders (each a “Vendor”). The City may place orders with any of the resultant contract vendors, selecting the Vendor the City wishes to use in any manner that the City department placing the order chooses.
Communications:
All vendor communications concerning this acquisition and evaluation must be directed only to the Buyer below. Failure to comply may cause bid rejection. Unless authorized by the Buyer, no other City official or City employee is empowered to speak for the City regarding this solicitation or resultant contract evaluation.
