The Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council (FAR Council) and the Office of Management and Budget’s Made in America Office (MIAO) are co-hosting a virtual public meeting on August 26, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., regarding proposed regulatory actions to strengthen the government’s use of Made in America Laws in federal procurement. The FAR Council and the MIAO seek to obtain the views of experts and interested parties in the private sector regarding the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) published in the Federal Register on Friday July 30, 2021, to address the implementation of section 8 of E.O. 14005, Ensuring the Future Is Made in All of America by All of America’s Workers in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The meeting will be recorded and a transcript of the meeting will be posted to regulations.gov, under the “FAR Case 2021-008” docket.
The public meeting will end at the stated time, or when the discussion ends, whichever comes first. If all topics outlined in the agenda have not been addressed by the stated time, a follow-on meeting will be considered.
