PUBLIC NOTICE – REQUEST FOR BIDS – Seattle Center Monorail Station Reconfiguration Group 2

Project Overview: The Seattle Monorail Station Reconfiguration aims to upgrade the existing station to enhance accessibility, operational efficiency and extend the structure and services. The general scope of work includes structural concrete, structural steel, guardrails, transit gates, paint and lead abatement, skylights, fire & life safety, mechanical, electrical, site improvements, earthwork and wet utility upgrades. Structural improvements include repair of corroded steel elements, platform strengthening, guardrail replacement, extension of the canopy structure for increased protection of the landmarked Monorail trains. Throughput improvement includes coordination of new platform edge gates, new ramps, new stairs and new seat walls.

Bid Timeline: Bid Package Posting: May 22nd, 2026

Pre-Bid Questions Due: June 4st, 2026 at 3 PM PST

Bid Due Date: June 12th, 2026 at 2 PM PST

Bid Bond: A bid bond of 5% of the base bid amount is required to be submitted for bids equal to or exceeding $300,000.

P&P Bond: Trade partners who are awarded scopes of work equal to or exceeding $300,000 will be required to provide Performance & Payment bonds for their full contract amount.

Bid Delivery:  Bids shall be submitted in the format provided in Document #3 – Bid Form.  Only the amounts and information asked for in the Bid Form will be considered as the bid.  All blank spaces must be filled in.    Bids may be delivered either via email to logan.chun@gly.com or by hardcopy to GLY Construction, Inc. at the GLY Construction Office at:  14432 SE Eastgate Way, Suite 300, Bellevue WA 98007.

Bid Opening: A virtual bid opening will be conducted after the 2 PM bid due date on June 12th.  Please contact Logan Chun at logan.chun@gly.com for the invitation.
