The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is moving from a two-tier contract method for IT professional services (ITPS) to a more modern multiple-award contract.
Under the new method, purchasers will no longer be required to perform a competitive solicitation. Instead, purchasers will be able to work directly with a vendor after requesting a minimum of three quotes, with one from a small, diverse or veteran-owned business.
DES is working to create a method that is easy and efficient for purchasers and that improves real opportunity for more businesses, including small, diverse and veteran-owned.
DES is reaching out to purchasers and vendors for feedback on the first three contracts we will release: IT Project Management, IT Development and Information Security.
The Request for Information (RFI) for IT Project Management is posted in WEBS and is available for response until May 11th, 2022. extended to June 17th
Next steps
After DES reviews the feedback, DES will collaborate with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), Office of Minority and Women Business Enterprises (OMWBE), Procurement Customer Advisory Group (PCAG), Business Diversity Advisory Group (BDAG), and DES Procurement, Inclusion and Equity (PIE) program as we work on updates the ITPS master contract program.
