#11121-2 RFI ELECTRICAL SUPPLIES – DRAFT COMPETITIVE SOLICITATION

ANNOUNCEMENT

The State of Washington is in the process of developing competitive solicitation and requirements for an Electrical Supplies Competitive Solicitation. DES is requesting input from the vendor and purchaser community for this effort. The resulting contract from this competitive solicitation will replace the past Electrical Supplies statewide contract 05114, which terminated in August of 2022.

RFI – REQUEST FOR INFORMATION – A Draft Electrical Supplies Competitive Solicitation, #11121-2RFI- was posted to WEBS, Tuesday, March 21, 2023and is available for download in:  Washington’s Electronic Business Solution (WEBS).

RFI – REQUEST FOR INFORMATION PERIOD:                Open through Tuesday, April 4, 2023

Submit questions, comments, or concerns after reviewing this solicitation in through the RFI/Draft Solicitation Survey Link at:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SYF8S6Y) through April 4, 2023.  Respond to the RFI survey through the links above only, and please do not send any additional documents, comments, or Exhibit drafts to the Procurement Coordinator, as they might not be answered and/or captured in a timely manner.

“Common electrical supplies” for the purposes of this RFI and draft solicitation include–wire, conduit, breakers, switches, and electrical trim items, including LED lighting fixtures, controls, and smart controls, as specified within the attached draft solicitation documents.  This contract will be divided into three categories:

Category 1 – Rough In

• Wire               
• Enclosures, Junction Boxes, and Data Rings
• Conduit/Wireway – All types   
• Fittings and Straps, LB’s, Ceiling Clips, etc.
• Strut and Strap             
• Fasteners, Tape, Bolts, Washers, Knock Out Seals, Wire Connections

Category 2 – Service Gear

• Switchgear
• Monitoring and Metering Devices
• Transformers
• Motors and Motor Controls
• Load Centers and Panel Boards
• Safety Switches–Disconnects, etc.
• Circuit Breakers               
• Fuses

Category 3 – Trim

• Wall Plates, Covers, and Accessories               
• Pin and Sleeve Plugs
• Emergency Lights               
• Occupancy/Wall Sensors/Timers
• Termination Devices
• LED Lighting Fixtures and Controls
• Wiring Devices, Switches, and Receptacles
• Smart Controls
