Contracting Opportunities Digest May 16, 2022
This is the first of a weekly series highlighting opportunities at the Port of Seattle. The list of current solicitations, below, have bid due dates that are May 23, 2022 or later. Solicitations are listed in the order of their bid due dates. With the information in these weekly digests, we encourage you to:

- Consider being a subcontractor for a project, and navigate to the “Plan Holders/Bidders” tab on the solicitation page to view what vendors have applied to be a prime contractor and reach out to them directly to discuss the possibility of partnering with them on the opportunity.

C Concourse Expansion Commissioning Services

The PORT requires Commissioning services to support the C Concourse Expansion project, which will include an addition of four new floors to the existing three-floor C1 Building located between Concourses C and D at SEA. Commissioning will be required to be completed within project phases as well as for the entire project. More information here.
WIDEN ARRIVALS APPROACH BRIDGE DEMO

In preparation of the larger Widen Arrivals Roadway project, this project will demolish an existing bridge that connects the 4th floor of the main parking garage and the Departures Drives. Associated work includes a small amount of concrete barrier, asphalt paving, storm drainage and traffic control. More information here.
Job Order Contracting (JOC): Small Construction Projects 2022

Order of Magnitude: 4,000,000.00
DBE Goal: 5 Percent (DBE Certified Only)
Anticipated types of work include but are not limited to, residential noise remediation, facilities tenant improvements, repair and renovations to facilities and infrastructure, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, telecommunications, natural habitat restoration, structural, roofing, and regulated material abatement. Work is located at Port owned properties throughout King County, WA.
The minimum committed amount to be contracted with the JOC is $50,000. The estimated maximum total of this JOC is $4,000,000 per contract year. The JOC contractor is responsible for providing construction management services, subcontracting, and delivering individual small projects that are assigned through Work Orders. The Contractor is paid for the Work Order based upon costs established in the Unit Price Book together with a fixed percentage multiplier (coefficient) established through this solicitation. World Trade Center – West Roof Replacement

Repair, overlay, and replacement of the existing 26,600sf ballasted gravel roof for the World Trade Center West (WTCW) Building. The project will extend the service life of the roofing system as well as provide a new irrigated Green Roof palletized system. Work also includes installation of new flashings, bird deterrent system, and cleaning of scuppers, drains, and overflows. More information here.
Wellness Program Platform System

Currently we are working through an internal wellness refresh project of the incentive structure and branding of the program. This refresh project is anticipated to be a staggered implementation, with a road map that will extend into 2024. Contracting with a wellbeing vendor to strategically support the Port with administration, design, and technology to ensure that the Spirit and Wellness program runs on a robust platform to assure employees achieve their health and wellbeing goals and maintain engagement. Youth Maritime Career Launch (YMCL)

WMBE Aspirational Goal: 10%
The PORT is seeking organizations to provide career launch opportunities in maritime industries in the Puget Sound region for youth and young adults ages 16-24 years, with a particular focus on youth from overburdened communities and vulnerable populations. The PORT is aiming to award three to four contracts for this effort and encourages collaboration between proposing organizations. More information here.
